Position Summary

The Connections Team Associate provides administrative support for the Connections Pastor. This person will be instrumental in managing volunteer systems, championing the hospitality culture across campuses, helping execute a follow-up plan to reach unengaged members, and help prepare/ organize all key connections ministry events.

This position combines exceptional relational skills with crucial administrative planning and organization. The Associate ensures guests feel welcomed, members stay engaged, and every service or event runs with excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Sunday Ministry Execution (Central Campus): 7:45am–1pm

• Serve alongside all Connections teams: Door Holders, Hosts, Next Steps, Ushers, Parking, Safety
• Ensure team check-in, preparedness, and scheduling coverage
• Engage first-time guests and members, engage in conversations about next steps, collect connection forms, and communicate needs to staff
• Serve as a central point of contact for hospitality questions and logistics

Volunteer Team Leadership

• Prepare for meetings, manuals, and materials for leaders who recruit, onboard and train for all connections volunteers
• Maintain attendance rosters in TouchPoint and Google Docs across campuses
• Follow up with absent team members to encourage engagement and care at campuses
• Help leaders manage weekly serving schedules and email communications at campus
• Help prepare periodic training events and volunteer appreciation gatherings

Guest & Member Engagement

• Help manage a clear and sustainable model for following up with church members not currently serving, connected in groups, or giving
• Work with all ministries to provide serving opportunities from interest forms and follow-up processes

Multi-Campus Support

• Provide administrative support and training resources to connection teams at other campuses
• Maintain consistency in guest experience and hospitality culture across Church at The Mill
• Partner with campus leaders to ensure each campus is supplied with connection cards, signage, and volunteer tools, etc.
• Assist with ongoing administrative needs and project management related to member engagement
• Prepare materials and coordinate logistics for all major Connections initiatives:
  • Baptism services
  • Lord’s Supper coordination
  • Membership classes
  • Next Steps events
• Order and distribute supplies (name tags, signage, first-time guest materials, etc.).
• Track volunteer metrics, guest follow-up, and team engagement trends

• Administrative organization and attention to detail in scheduling and systems
• Relationally intuitive: able to create connections with people and follow through
• Proficient in Google Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, and church database platforms (TouchPoint preferred)

Preferred Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in a ministry field preferred
• Prior experience in church ministry administration, hospitality, events, and volunteer coordination strongly preferred

Schedule & Physical Requirements

• Weekly hours: 
  • Monday–Thursday (typically 8am–5pm) 
  • Sunday mornings required (7:45am–1pm)
• Assist answering phones as needed by the church receptionist
• Attend weekly team meetings and staff meetings (Monday at 10-11am)
• Assist with events on weekends or evenings as needed
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods during services or events
• Reliable transportation for cross-campus support when needed

Staff Position Title: Campus A/V Tech & Training Coordinator

Principal Function:
The Campus A/V Tech & Training Coordinator plays a dual role in both technical
operations and volunteer development across extended campuses of Church at The
Mill. This position is responsible for managing and maintaining audio, video and lighting
systems at assigned campuses, while also creating and implementing training programs
for volunteer teams who serve in the Technical Arts ministry in close cooperation with
the Technical Arts Director. The goal of this role is to ensure technical excellence,
consistency, and strong volunteer engagement that supports the mission of Church at
The Mill.

Reports To: Technical Arts Director
Location: Church at The Mill - Lake Cooley, Woodruff, and Espanol Campuses
Weekly Hours: Full-Time (40 hours)

Responsibilities:

Technical Operations
-Manage and maintain all A/V systems, equipment, and lighting fixtures at
assigned campuses
-Provide technical support and serve in A/V positions during worship services and
events as needed (Front of House, ProPresenter, Lighting, etc.)
-Oversee equipment organization, setup, signal flow, troubleshooting, and repairs
at assigned campuses.
-Assist with Central Campus Category 1/2/3 events and rotate as needed to
operate tech positions.
-Support campus-specific needs and events in coordination with campus staff.
-Attend Tech Staff Meetings (Mondays) and Central Campus All Staff Meetings
(Tuesdays).

Training & Development
-Create and implement a structured training program for all volunteer technical
roles, including:
-Front of House Audio
-ProPresenter
-Lighting
-ProVideo Player
-Camera Operation
-Camera Shading
-PTZ Camera Operation
-Video Directing
-Lower Third Lyrics
-Develop training resources (manuals, guides, workshops) and provide ongoing
coaching and evaluations.
-Standardize processes across campuses for consistent technical excellence in
worship production.

Volunteer Engagement
-In cooperation with the Technical Arts Director - Recruit, schedule, and develop
volunteers for A/V ministry positions.
-Foster a culture of teamwork, excellence, and servant leadership within volunteer
teams
-Provide encouragement, accountability, and ongoing communication with
volunteers
-Maintain an up-to-date long-term schedule to ensure positions are consistently
filled

Collaboration & Support

-Work closely with Campus Pastors, Worship Leaders, and other ministry leaders
to ensure technical needs are met
-Serve as a point of contact for volunteers with training needs, scheduling
conflicts, or technical challenges

Qualifications
-Five years of live audio mixing/support in large venues (church setting preferred).
-Proficiency in Audio Engineering, Signal Flow, and live production environments
-Experience with Allen & Health consoles preferred
-Knowledge of electricity, audio physics, audio networking, lighting (programming,
patching, DMX protocols) and video signal flow.
-Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop volunteers or technical teams
-Strong organizational, scheduling, and communication skills
-Proficiency in ProPresenter, ProVideo Player, and Macintosh computer platform
-Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under pressure and tight
deadlines
-Alignment with the mission, vision and values of Church at The Mill

Expectations

-Serve during Sunday mornings, some Sunday evenings, and Wednesday nights
-Regular attendance at worship services and ministry events across campuses as
needed
-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in support of worship
services and special events

Staff Position Title: Part-time Facilities/Housekeeping

Principal Function:

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain a hygienic, orderly, and attractive environment in the assigned areas for all guests and staff. This is done by following proper cleaning techniques and procedures and performing scheduled duties. 

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities: 

• Cleans adult  classrooms
• Vacuum all carpets in hallways and kids' theater.
• Clean nursing room 
• Clean elevator 
• Clean windows 
• More detailed list upon hiring

Preferred Competencies:

• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
• Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
• Occasionally perform tasks while standing and walking up to 100% of the time.
• Reach, bend, kneel, and have a high level of manual dexterity.
• Occasionally, they are required to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Willing to help out with special events
• Willing to help others clean if someone is on vacation, out sick, cross-train, etc.
