BECOME A MEMBER
Membership is an important step for you and for Church at The Mill. We believe that God calls his people to find community in the context of the local church. In Paul’s letter to the church in Corinth, he talked about the Church as the local “body” of believers. A body with different parts and roles, but one united body. Please take a moment to look over our membership process.
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
Filling out an application kicks off the first step of the membership process. This application includes information that will help us begin a connection with you and to learn more about who you are. This must be completed by every member of the family 9th grade or older. We also offer an opportunity for our 9th-grade students to become covenant members led by our High School pastor. For more information on this process, please visit our High School page.
MEET WITH A PASTOR
During this time, one of our pastors will cover everything from basic information to the essentials for a right relationship with Christ. This meeting is very casual and relational for anyone in the family 9th grade and up. After this meeting, if you and the pastor are comfortable moving forward in the membership process, you will be invited to attend our new member class.
NEW MEMBER CLASS
The new member class is offered on select Sunday afternoons throughout the year from 3:00-6:30 PM with a meal included. As always, childcare (10 and under) is provided and older children are welcome to join in on the class. During this class, you will hear from Pastor D.J. and meet the rest of our pastoral staff. After the dinner, each participant will be given a membership covenant that they are asked to sign as an outward symbol of their inward commitment to Church at The Mill.
New members who have completed the process are asked to join the pastor at the end of a scheduled Sunday morning service to be briefly introduced and welcomed.
