Creative Arts Camp

Our Mission at Creative Arts Camp (CAC) is to pour into the next generation by creating a safe environment for them to discover who they are in Christ, how Christ created them and how to use their gifts for HIS glory. We want to give campers an elite production and camp experience in the arts.

About our Creative Arts Camp

Creative Arts Camp (CAC) is a one-week day camp hosted by Church at The Mill. Each Summer, we choose an age-appropriate production for our budding actors to learn and perform for the community. We hold auditions for larger roles, but auditions are not required to participate in camp. Camp is open to anyone who meets the age criteria and wants to experience a week full of art, drama, music, Bible lessons, creativity and more! All who attend camp will have a place in our performance.

Creative Arts Camp is expanding! For the first time ever, we’ll have two camps in one week. Both camps will take place at our Central Campus in Moore, SC. We are now offering CAC Kids for rising 2nd-5th graders and CAC Students for rising 6th-12th graders.

Our camp week experience will look a little different depending on the age group. For example, kids’ camp will include worship, Bible, music, dance, drama, activities, and a mystery class. Student camp will include worship, preaching, Small Groups, and tracks. During camp week, we also will have scheduled rehearsals (called company rehearsals) for the performance.

Registration is now open!

Summer 2024 Creative Arts Camp

Creative Arts Camp will be June 3-7, 2024. The camp schedule is Monday, June 3rd through Thursday, June 6th, from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM and Friday, June 7th, from 9:00 AM until the performances are finished. There will be two performances on Friday, June 7th: 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

All who attend camp will have a place in their age group's performance. We hold auditions for all specialty parts such as lead characters and trained dancers. Also, students will have an opportunity to be in the Creative Crew. The Creative Crew will work behind the scenes with backstage needs, lighting, and much more. This crew will have an application and interview process.

This year we will be preparing two Broadway musicals:

CAC Kids

Disney's The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world, and now you have the opportunity to produce this one-of-a-kind musical in your community. Bring the African savanna to life on your stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.

The Lion King Kids features classic songs from the Broadway musical and animated feature film, including “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “He Lives in You,” and “Hakuna Matata.” Young performers will also get the chance to learn a wide range of new theatrical skills—such as mask-making and puppetry—encouraging them to explore this beloved story with creativity and pride.

CAC Students

Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on your stage in Disney’s High School Musical Jr. Now updated to the convenient binder version! Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities. The show’s infectious, danceable songs are sure to engage performers and audiences alike.

It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.
