Senior Adult Ministry

Ages 60+

Senior Adults at The Mill is a group designed for adults 60 years of age or older. Our goal is to uniquely equip and care for our senior adults as they seek to Gather, Grow, Give, and Go.

Vision

The Vision for Senior Adult Ministry at CATM is to see Senior Adults continuously become more like Jesus.

Romans 8:29a, Ephesians 5:1-2, Galatians 5:16-25

Mission

The Mission for Senior Adult Ministry at CATM is to offer multiple opportunities to equip Senior Adults to continuously become more spiritually mature.

Ephesians 4:11-14, Titus 2:1-10, 1 Corinthians 12:27

Discipleship Opportunities

Our Adult Discipleship includes genuine love, specific training, intentional challenge and compassionate help. We believe every follower of Church at The Mill needs to be genuinely loved through a Small Group, specifically trained through an equipping class, intentionally challenged via a mentor group, or compassionately helped in our biblical counseling ministry as they seek to grow in their relationships with Christ. Dementia Care

Dementia affects at least one in ten adults age 65 and older. Husbands are caring for spouses; adult children are caring for parents; young adults are caring for grandparents; and siblings are caring for siblings.

Dementia Care at The Mill is a new ministry designed to educate, encourage, equip and empower people living with dementia and their caregivers. Stay tuned as we grow this ministry and its resources.

Our Memory Cafe events are comfortable social gatherings that allow those experiencing memory loss to connect, socialize and encourage one another. Caregivers are welcome. Our Caregivers Equipping Group is a monthly gathering created to embrace the caregivers of loved ones navigating dementia. Stay updated on these events by checking out our church calendar

Events

Throughout the year, typically quarterly, we hold several events specifically for our senior adults. We generally have dinners, a yearly off-campus trip, and a Christmas celebration, among other events. You can find links to register for upcoming events on the church calendar.

Serving Opportunities

Healthy disciples are active disciples. We believe that growth in community provides the foundation from which growing disciples are deployed into areas of service to which they have been called. Our Connections and Missions ministries would love to help you find your place to serve both inside and outside of our church walls.
